Individual awards
The Canadian Ski Marathon takes pride in rewarding its participants for completing specific goals during the CSM weekend. There are many classes that relate to all age groups for individual registrations in which awards are presented every year.
Tourer awards:
Awards are given for the number of sections completed, not the distance skied.
Mighty Mite Award
- 8 years or younger
- Mighty Mite Or/Gold – 3 sections
- Mighty Mite Argent/Sliver – 2 sections
- Might Mite Bronze – 1 section
Snowy Owl Award
- 9-12 years
- Snowy Owl Or/Gold – 5 sections
- Snowy Owl Argent/Sliver – 4 sections
- Snowy Owl Bronze – 3 section
Lockeberg Award
- 13-16 years
- Lockeberg Or/Gold – 6 sections
- Lockeberg Argent/Sliver – 5 sections
- Lockeberg Bronze – 4 section
Johannsen Award
- 17 years and older
- Johannsen Or/Gold – 7 sections
- Johannsen Argent/Sliver – 6 sections
- Johannsen Bronze – 5 section
Weber Touring Award
Tourers who complete more than 50 sections in a number of years
Silver Tip Award
65 years or older – 4 sections
Coureur des bois awards:
Awards given for those who ski the entire 160 km
Coureur des Bois Bronze
Completion of all 10 sections of the trail
Coureur des Bois Silver
Completion of all 10 sections of the trail carrying a pack weighing a minimum of 5 kilograms
Coureur des Bois Gold
Completion of all 10 sections of the trail carrying a pack weighing a minimum of 5 kilograms and camping outdoors Saturday night at a designated area
Coureur des Bois Gold Bar
For Coureur des Bois who have previously achieved Coureur des Bois Gold or Gold Bar
Coureur des Bois Gold Permanent Number
Complete Coureur des Bois Gold and four Coureur des Bois Gold Bar in any number of years:
